Cartoon Mania

This, and school work, is what I have been up to lately. Well, mostly.

Final Art 2 project with *getbackibite is to make a board game based on some concept of art. We chose different styles of drawing within cartoons/comics. The game is almost finished and I may post a picture later. These four are the four styles I drew for the game board.

The first two are "Man of action", or super-hero type characters. I chose the more serious, steroid-muscle-man Batman for one sub-style and seemingly-harmless kiddo Ben 10 for the other sub-style.
The second two are Anime. I chose adorable-chibified Konata Izumi (from Lucky star) for the cuter sub-style and tall-and-lanky-magician Fai D. Flourite (from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles) for the more realistic sub-style.

It was really hard to choose what styles and sub-styles (like sub-genres hur hur) to use. It was even harder and really pretty scarring to draw steroidman, er, I mean Batman. In the end I think I drew each style well enough for not being very acquainted with 3 of 4.

EDIT:
Colored them all. Now you can see both lineart and finished art. As always, the scanner maimed the coloring and then let it out into the world to show it's ugly head.
They were relatively simple to color. The only problems was coloring Steroid man altogether (that guy just plain scares me) and getting good reference for coloring Fai.
